The Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Revenue Advisor (AO6) to join their growing team on a 6-month contract, with the potential for becoming permanent after the 6 months.
The role will provide the flexibility to work across different divisions and will hence allow you valuable opportunities for career growth. You will apply solid judgement, analysis, decision making, and technical writing skills on a range of complex interpretation and practice issues.
An insight into the key responsibilities associated with this role includes:
- Provide written and verbal advice to stakeholders on interpretation and practice issues relating to legislation.
- Prepare public rulings and other practice statements setting out the Commissioners interpretation and practice for the legislation.
- Review and quality assure internal and external materials to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Analyse and challenge practices and identify strategies which support current and future business directions.
- Establish, enhance and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
A good candidate for this role will have:
- High level of experience in statutory interpretation, analytical skills, written and verbal communication skills.
- React well and adapt to constructive feedback.
- Enjoy an intellectual challenge.
However, a great candidate will also:
- Hold a relevant degree or postgraduate studies in a related discipline e.g. law, business, or accounting (not required but highly regarded).
- Lead strategically - think critically and act on the broader purpose of the system.
- Be curious - wants to delve into the work.
