We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Principal Economic Analyst (Land Use) in the Growth Monitoring Program (GMP), within the Regional and Spatial Planning Division of the Planning Group. The division's program delivery is based on collaboration with local government, key industry groups and the wider community, ensuring the aspirations of all regional stakeholders are considered. Be a part of a team that is making a difference by developing, reviewing and monitoring regional plans that facilitate outcomes focused on addressing existing and emerging Land Use planning issues of regional significance. Your sound knowledge, experience and understanding of the principles of Land Use and property economics will be essential to this role. - Lead the examination and analysis of the critical success factors of industrial development
- Support the delivery of industrial land supply and development monitoring functions for the state, providing expert advice, analytical and problem-solving skills to guide growth decisions
- Lead the identification and analysis of the implications of planning policy in relation to industrial development
- Comprehend and interpret complex industrial land and employment information to support industrial Land Uses and infrastructure
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to government about the implications of policy changes identified to respond to supply and demand issues
- Coordinate and prepare quality correspondence, submissions, presentations, briefs and reports on complex and sensitive issues for the delivery of projects
- Actively collaborate and contribute to engagement with internal / external stakeholders to inform the development of a regional industrial framework for South East Queensland
