The Opportunity:
We are looking for an Economic Analyst to join our dynamic and growing team based at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast for an immediate start. The role will be supported by highly experienced Principals, Senior Consultants and Senior Analysts where you will have the opportunity to work on high profile projects across a range of sectors, bringing a passion for property research and the ability to connect economic theory to market reality.
What we are looking for:
- Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative subject such as economics, property economics, business, statistics, or demography
- Ability to compile, analyse and articulate complex statistics and data into easy-to-understand visuals, written pieces, and engaging content independently.
- Excellent critical thinking, a sharp eye for detail and a forward thinker who can adapt, be flexible and deliver high quality results in a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
- Can-do attitude and determination to succeed.
- Demonstrated experience and an advanced understanding of MS Word and MS Excel.
- Experience in utilising software packages such as QGIS, ArcGIS, PowerBi, ABS Tablebuilder or similar is beneficial but not compulsory.
- Excellent oral and written communications and listening skills
- Passion for learning and developing new skills.
Your role:
As an Economic Analyst your role will be to assist senior team members by:
- Collecting and collating data.
- Analysis and processing of data to extract meaningful insights.
- Supporting consultancy teams that provide advice to government and private sector clients on major projects
- Drafting reports and presentations.
