Central Highlands Rural Health are seeking and AOD Counsellor to join our Mental Wellbeing team on a fixed-term contract to the 23 February 2025 based at our Daylesford and Creswick campuses.
You will be providing individual counselling to impacted persons by the use of alcohol and other drugs directly or indirectly.
Role Statement
The AOD Counsellor provides treatment and support to people whose lives are directly or indirectly impacted upon by the use of alcohol and other drugs (licit and illicit). The aim is to assist the consumer to change their behaviour in order to reduce the harm caused by the substance use or provide them with skills and support to respond more effectively to those with a substance use problem. These interventions are provided as both individual and group methods.

Fixed term position to the 23 February 2025, working 48 hours per fortnight
Salary: Dependent on experience as per EBA + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging

Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) is a rural health organisation that operates five campuses across Hepburn Shire and the Macedon Ranges in the Central Highlands of Victoria in Australia, north and north-west of Melbourne. It was formed through the voluntary amalgamation of Hepburn Health Service and Kyneton District Health on the 30th November 2019. Each of our campuses retains the name of the township in which they are situated - Clunes Health, Creswick Health, Daylesford Health, Kyneton Health, and Trentham Health.
