With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hour's drive from the CBD, Melbourne's North is fast becoming the place to be!The Role:The Residential Aged Care Facilities at Northern Health are seeing applications from Dietitians to join the team.This role promotes best practice in service provision to Northern Health's Residential Aged Care Facilities (Merv Irvine, McLellan House and Ian Brand RACF). You will be responsible for managing residents at high risk of hospital acquired malnutrition through assessment and monitoring of food and nutrition provision. In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance with the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards (ACQS) strengthened Food and Nutrition Standard (Standard 6) as well as implementing quality initiatives to ensure a positive resident experience.To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum of 7 years clinical experience
- Demonstrate clinical expertise and experience in the area of adult nutrition therapy (Aged Care: resident nutrition monitoring, assessment and management)
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and an ability to network and draw on external expertise within the area of food services
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills that facilitate an ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and provide staff/ community education
- High level negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Competent computer skills particularly Word processing and internet use, and the ability to learn dedicated software
- Current Victorian Driver's license
