Responsibilities:A real endeavour, shaped by youAs the System Engineer for PEX (Patriot Excalibur), your main responsibility is to ensure the ongoing Capability Life Cycle (CLC) sustainment of the CAF16 PEX System.To succeed in this endeavor, you will be accountable for:
- Developing and maintaining the Functional Area Management Plan for PEX
- Contributing to the upkeep of the Product Support Document (PdS)
- Monitoring system performance against PdS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting on it
- Overseeing Engineering certification and Security accreditation
- Managing Acquisition and re-fresh activities
- Participating in CAF16 governance
- Providing advice to the CAF16 Integrated Product Manager (IPdM) and AWC staff
- Handling financial and contract management, configuration control, transition, obsolescence, and risk identification and management related to capability assurance and cost of ownership of CAF16 PEX systems.
Qualifications:A real endeavour, driven by youOur work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role:
- You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. (Mandatory)
- Experience managing a medium to large enterprise network and associated support team
- Project management experience
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Understanding of modern networking, computers, and operating systems
- 2 or more years acquisition or project management experience in Air Force and/or Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG)
