Our client is looking for a strong API Automation Test Analyst. This client offers a flexible working environment as well as cutting edge work within the financial sector.Responsibilities:
- Develop relevant automated test frameworks leveraging open-source tools.
- Design and implement the Automation Test strategy for identified application and platform stacks.
- Automate and maintain the relevant test cases ensuring best practices in clean code are adhered.
- Automate tedious test data creation process.
- Automated integration and reporting of test automation within CI/CD pipelines.
- Liaise with Test Manager, Test Analysts, Quality Engineers, BA's, Vendor teams, Architects and Cyber to achieve all assigned tasks relevant to Automation.
- Defect analysis and resolution.
- 8+ years' experience in Test Automation Engineer / Quality Engineer / Software Developer in Test roles.
- Strong experience in setting up Automation Test frameworks for Web applications and APIs.
- Strong experience and proficiency in either Javascript or Typescript.
- Strong experience using tools such as Playwright (Preferred) or Cypress for UI Test Automation.
- Strong experience with tools such as RestAssured, Karate or similar tools for API Test automation.
- Good understanding and knowledge of CI & CD. Able to use tools and integrate test automation in CI/CD pipelines.
- Extensive experience with Git, Github, Azure etc.
- Experience utilising tools such as JIRA and Confluence or similar tools for test planning, execution and defect management in an integrated environment.
- Experience in API testing using Postman.
- Sound knowledge of Testing processes and best practices in SDLC
- Experience in large and complex working environment.
- Demonstrated capacity for translating thought into action and being fully accountable for results.
- Experience in Cloud Applications (Microsoft Azure, AWS).
