Automation Test Analyst

Job Description Automation Test Analyst - Financial Services - Hybrid, Sydney based - 12 month contract - $800 - $1000 a day

We are looking for a skilled Automation Tester to play a pivotal role in enhancing their software development processes. We are looking for an experienced Automation Tester to join our growing team on a 12-month contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch with a focus on utilizing Cypress. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Automation Testing, a deep understanding of financial systems, and a proven track record of success in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement automation frameworks using Cypress to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into automated test scripts.
• Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for financial applications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and adherence to industry standards.
• Conduct regression testing to validate the functionality and performance of software releases.
• Work closely with software developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams to integrate automation into the agile development cycle.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies to provide testing insights and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Identify and document software defects, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide detailed reports on test results, test coverage, and automation progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Automation Tester, with a focus on building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Expertise in automation tools especially Cypress, and a strong understanding of JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of financial systems and experience testing within the financial industry.
• Previous experience working in an agile development environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
