The Opportunity
Connected Care is all about providing Bupa customers with seamless and integrated health experiences, helping them Get Well and Stay Well.
As a Product Owner you will cconnect the customer, the business, project delivery and BAU tech ops teams. You will be working with the key stakeholders in Connected Care (CC) and Healthcare centres (HC) to support and design applications, and with the delivery team and vendors to ensure application implementation according to best practice.
You will understand customer needs and the business' goals and actively collaborate with the business, BAU team and the stakeholders to make effective, local, and empowered decisions for the team.
Your primary focus will be:
- To lead the HC BAU Support team to deliver excellent quality support and enhancements to HC applications that meet or exceed the business and customer expectations.
- Ensuing the development activities in line with CC initiatives in relation to HC applications.
- Providing technical leadership and support for various application issues.
- Implementing high-quality solutions leveraging existing processes, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Efficiently handling enhancements, defects, and new feature development, collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Contributing to triage, analysis, and testing activities, including MS SQL database support.
You will work on HC applications support and enhancements in collaboration with vendors such as Best Practice, Health Engine, Hotdoc, Promatiq and others to meet or exceed the business and customer expectations. Later down the track, there is potential to for this role to transition to manage a team.
About You
Success in this key leadership role will require you to bring:
- Tertiary qualification in an IT discipline or related field supported by 5+ years of commercial experience in managing off-the-shelf applications.
- 4+ years of Change and release management including life-cycle management.
- 3+ years of managing and working with Microsoft SQL Management.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management, and enhancements.
- Experience in desktop technologies including virtualisation, designing and implementing ETL technologies and processes.
- Knowledge and experience about Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Understanding of software design principles and patterns as well as API and client-server environments.
- Strong experience in monitoring and support complex enterprise applications.
- Positive and supportive individual with a flexible, can-do attitude and ability to see the bigger picture.
- Proven experience in providing high quality service in Production support of applications.
- Experience in managing Support requests and working in an IT Support team.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure, SQL Server and other Microsoft technologies.
- Experience in application design and architecture.
- Solid knowledge of Application Systems industry best practices.
