Technical Product Owner

As we continue to evolve as a business and put the customer at the forefront of our growth strategy, the Technical Product Owner will be passionate about working with our business and technical teams to develop exceptional back-end products that enable our business and customers.

The Role You Could Play

The Technical Product Owner will work closely with the Tech Lead, core business stakeholders and IT Leadership team to collaboratively define and drive the product vision, roadmap and technology strategy across Mecca’s back-end platforms. You will work closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional development squads to define a customer-centric roadmap that strikes the right balance between meeting current needs, tackling technical debt, and unlocking new opportunities. 

What You Will Bring

• Experience in managing Technical Products, ideally within the back-end retail space (e.g. OMS/PIM) 
• Experience in forming and setting a product vision and strategy for digital platforms/products, ideally within the back-end retail space. 
• Strong technical business analysis skills 
• Good theoretical and practical knowledge of product management frameworks, processes and methodologies
• Good theoretical and practical knowledge of Agile software development frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban or SaFe in order to manage workflow, prioritisation and delivery
• Highly analytical with the ability to use data to help inform decision making
• Numerically strong, and commercially/value minded. 
• Technically strong, with a deep understanding of digital platforms, capabilities and integrations. 
• Effective communicator that can present to both technical and non-technical audiences and can use these skills to influence across all levels of the organization. 
• Ability to breakdown large complex problems/pieces of work into smaller, manageable goals/releases. 
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
• Ability and flexibility to succeed in a fast-pace and innovative environment

• Proven experience within a fast-paced technical team working as a Technical Product Owner or Technical Business Analyst
