YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled customer-centric Technical Product Owner who will be responsible for leading the Infrastructure Automation and Provisioning efforts for our Platform Engineering team.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Agile, and Product Management. But even more importantly, you are expected to deliver engineering solutions following a customer-first approach. That is, you are able to foster and sustain business outcomes through a culture dedicated to enhancing customer satisfaction and building strong customer relationships using your soft skills.
You will work closely with the engineering teams to drive the vision, strategy and roadmap of the platform infrastructure using well-established industry patterns, cost optimization, and multi-tenancy models. You will also help to drive an uplift in the productivity of teams consuming the platform by increasing the speed to market through frequent platform releases.
Some of your key responsibilities will include: -
- Develop and manage the product roadmap and backlog for Cloud Infrastructure Automation and Provisioning for serverless and container-based implementations.
- Follow a customer-centric approach to prioritise and manage the backlog to ensure that the needs of the consumers of the platform are always met.
- Drive and sustain business outcomes through a culture dedicated to enhancing customer satisfaction and building strong customer relationships across the business.
- Provide people leadership, budget and risk management oversights to the engineering team and helping to embed a culture of best practices and continuous improvement.
- Provide input into the architecture, design, and implementation of the platform as a product via dynamic CI/CD pipelines, services catalogue, security and access controls, dynamic configuration management etc. using tools like Backstage, Terraform, Open Policy Agents etc while also measuring adoption through industry frameworks such as DORA.
- Manage quality, security, and operational risk controls on the platform through active engagement with the relevant communities of practices at IAG
- Work with your team to ensure that the platform aligns with the SRE & Observability strategy leveraging Infrastructure Automation to provide insights into the platform's health and performance.
- Manage all platform engagements with external regulatory bodies e.g., APRA to ensure that necessary platform controls are in place and implemented following industry standards.
- Work closely with consumers of the platform to ensure accurate and timely resolution of production issues as per agreed SLAs while always maintaining open and proactive communication.

ABOUT YOU
You’re a natural leader with an experience profile that sets you apart from the pack. Our team is a fun-loving bunch of people, and we are looking for an individual with good sense of humour and below key skills and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of solid experience in Technical Product Management and Product Ownership in the delivery of Cloud Infrastructure solutions. This must be backed up by relevant certifications e.g., PSPO I-III, CSPO, PMBOK, SAFe etc.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, high EQ and soft skills.
- Strong customer-first approach in the delivery of business outcomes through a track record of enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies and Product Management best practices.
- Strong technical background in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, dynamic configuration management, and pattern-driven infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and platform architectures on AWS, GCP, or Azure as well as their associated automation tools.
- Experience with best practices in cybersecurity, cloud security, environments and release management and security of the software supply chain.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with DORA metrics and codified policy enforcement is a plus.
