AddressHutchies is seeking an experienced Application Tester for a contract role (6-12 months) based in our Toowong office.
Responsibilities
- Practical knowledge of Testing Methodologies, Defect Management and Agile Project Management
- Develop test strategies for implementation projects.
- Create test plans, design test cases, and execute test scripts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues found during testing.
- Conduct regression testing and drive User Acceptance Testing
- Conduct integration and performance testing.
- Document and report test results and defects to project stakeholders.
- Continuously monitor the system and services for defects and improve QA processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the development team to prepare an environment for testing activities.
- Identify any risks, issues and dependencies pertaining to testing activities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 5 - 10 years' experience working as a functional / automated tester
- Proficient in testing methodologies, including functional, automated, performance and integration testing.
- Extensive experience in defect tracking and reporting tools such as Jira.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and JMeter
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and QA processes
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability in establishing and building relationships with business managers, subject matter experts and IT service providers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, desirable
- Construction Industry or Finance industry experience, desirable
- CRM, PaaS, SaaS, Cloud Computing, desirable
- Knowledge of programming languages and software development methodologies, desirable
- Process Automation and Workflows, desirable
- Database and System Integrations, desirable
