Positions Available
Are you interested in obtaining a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills through a two-year traineeship program? Our laboratory positions would be perfect for you! You'll work in air-conditioned labs, evaluating the quality and content of sugar in cane and other factory products.
The positions we currently have on offer include:
Juice Chemist - As a Juice Chemist, you will be primarily responsible for performing juice analysis for cane payment purposes.
Control Chemist - As a Control Chemist, you will be primarily responsible for analysis of factory products for optimisation, control and data entry of this information into Databank.
The Laboratory team are all accountable for accurate data entry, performing checks on laboratory equipment and systems, cleaning and maintaining records. You will work a continuous shift roster during the crushing season which includes weekend work, and some overtime may be required.
For all roles, first preference is for applicants who are willing to complete an entire crushing season which generally runs from June through to December.
Specific Requirements
While the following are requirements in this role, we are prepared to provide training to people who possess the right aptitude:
- High level of computer literacy
- Excellent time management skills
- Great communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
- Team work - work effectively within a team
- Ability to achieve competency in a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills
A requirement of the recruitment process is to complete a pre-employment medical which includes a urine drug screen and alcohol screen, physical and medical assessment.
