An exciting opportunity is available for a Junior Apprentice Carpenter to join Rhino Construction SA as a 1st Fix Carpenter.
Rhino Construction SA is a very successful local carpentry business that has been operating in the building sector of Adelaide and surrounding suburbs for 8+ years.
We are looking for a motivated, committed, reliable person with a can-do attitude who is wanting to gain practical on the job experience through a full-time apprenticeship in 1st Fix Carpentry.
Successful candidates will be signed to a four year apprenticeship contract to receive a credited trade qualification upon completion.
All levels are encouraged to apply, including already commenced apprenticeships (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th).
Roles include, but are not limited to:
- Use of power tools
- Work safely at heights
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Install flooring systems
- Constructing wall frames
- Framing roofs
- Installing windows
- Maintaining tools, resources and a clean work site
Successful candidates must have the following:
- Driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
- An ability to undertake manual/physical work
- Strong work ethic and reliable
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Positive attitude and be willing to learn
- Be comfortable working at heights
- Permanent working rights in Australia
Any previous work experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
Other attributes that will be favourable (but not required):
- OHS white card
- Experience in carpentry or general building / labouring
- Completion of certificate 2 building & construction (doorways)
- Ability to start immediately
