We are seeking reliable, punctual and motivated candidates with great communication skills and a passion for Carpentry to commence this Apprenticeship!
Kicking off this apprenticeship will be an exiting Commercial Construction project in a School located in Nerang.
As a Carpentry Apprentice with ECA:
- You will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects, from new home builds and renovations to refurbishments and commercial projects.
- You will be working full-time, 40 hours per week
- You will be entitled to a rostered day off each month
- If successful, you will be completing your trade with one of our Host Employers, who will give you in-depth knowledge and guidance to help you become trade qualified within 4 years
Recent school leavers are encouraged to apply.
With the support of qualified trades people, you will be:
- Construct wall and ceiling frames, pitched roofs, eaves, external stairs,
- Laying sub-flooring and floorboards
- Nailing fascia panels, fitting exterior wall cladding, door and window frames
- Measuring materials
- Using a variety of hand and power tools
- Carrying out calculations
- Cutting materials, assembling and nailing
- May construct concrete formwork
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:
- A genuine interest and commitment to work in the Construction industry
- Construction White Card
- Current Drivers’ Licence and your own reliable transport
- Previous trade experience within the construction industry is preferable
- Physically fit, self-disciplined, and have attention to detail
- Reliable, resilient, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to take direction and take the safety of yourself and your team members seriously
- Ideally have your own basic tools (including nail bag)
