About the Division / Team

Our Hunter Valley network primarily services the Hunter Valley coal chain - the world's largest thermal coal export operation - by providing an efficient and reliable rail transportation system between mines and the Port of Newcastle. We manage the movement of around 250 trains per day on our network. Around half of these being coal trains and the other half comprised of passenger services, as well as grain, general intermodal, and other bulk freight trains.

About You

To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Year 12 qualifications or equivalent with proficiency in maths
  • A strong interest in electrical systems and signalling technology
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • An understanding of WH&S principles and a strong safety focus
  • Current C class drivers' licence
