Administration Support Officer - Grade 1/2
Location: Gosford or Newcastle
Temporary full-time opportunity up to 31 January 2025
$70,694 pa - $76,857 pa plus super
Your role
As a member of the Commissioning and Planning team you will provide effective administrative support to assist the team to achieve business unit outcomes.
What you'll do
Your day will be filled with, but not limited to, the following:
• A range of administrative tasks and activities which support the day to day operations of the team, and the efficient delivery of services to key internal and external stakeholders.
• Attending meetings to provide secretariat support including distributing meeting papers, taking meeting minutes, and preparing action logs.
• Reviewing, tracking and monitoring incoming correspondence and requests, and determining appropriate actions in a timely manner.
• Record keeping and file management in accordance with DCJ policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Liaising with other business areas to effectively arrange meetings etc.
IMPORTANT - The Commissioning and Planning team works across two offices, located in Gosford and Newcastle. The primary location of the position will be negotiated with the successful candidate, noting that that role does require working from both offices.
What we're looking for
• Previous experience in providing high level administrative support with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills
• Minute taking skills/experience.
• High level IT skills including use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint software.
• A Working with Children clearance number before starting in the role
