We have an exciting position available for someone looking to start their Stonemasonry apprenticeship.

Job Description:

By completing your apprenticeship, you will be exposed to all aspects of the stonemasonry trade that will give you a solid foundation in your career. Through on and off site training during your apprenticeship, you will learn how to;

• Cut and shape stone using machines or hand tools, cut and polish granite and marble for use in construction.

• Construct walls using stone slabs, lay stone paving, granite or marble floor tiles and fix stone facades to buildings.

• Repair and replace the stonework on old buildings and monuments

Requirements

Essential criteria:

• A willingness to develop skills and knowledge in this trade

• Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labour for extended periods

• White Card (or be willing to obtain prior to starting)

• Enjoy practical and manual work

• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively

• Have a car and licence (manual) - essential

Due to new legislation with Health and Safety in the industry, you will be required to be clean shaven as you will be required to wear masks to perform you duties.

This is also a non smoking environment.
