The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Traineeship and Apprenticeship Consultant to join our Group Training team. This role is pivotal in establishing and monitoring Australian Traineeships and Apprenticeships with Maxima Host Employers primarily across the Office and Professional industries. A key focus will be to work closely with Host Employers, both existing and prospective to ensure a continual pipeline of opportunities are leveraged for Maxima.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, employees, and Host Employers.
  • Understand and manage Training Contracts and vocational requirements within private enterprise businesses, Local Government, Community Services, and other sectors.
  • Negotiate effectively with employers regarding apprenticeships and Traineeships.
  • Communicate and present information clearly and professionally.
  • Work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team of professional GTO consultants.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in relationship development with young people, employees, and employers.
  • Experience working with people living with a disability would be advantageous
  • In-depth knowledge of training contracts or the Australian Apprenticeship and Traineeship system is highly desirable.
  • Strong negotiation skills with employers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and online systems.
  • Current SA driver’s license.
  • Current Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Business or a similar qualification (highly regarded but not essential).
