We offer advice and tailored support for apprentices, trainees, and businesses to support successful careers and skilled, productive workplaces.
About the Role…
In line with the Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (AASS) contract, this role is crucial in empowering women, collaborating with employers, and engaging with key stakeholders to significantly boost the commencement, retention, and completion rates of female Australian Apprentices.
Your role will be dynamic, with responsibilities including:
- Develop business relationships with Employers, Apprentices, Job Seekers, Registered Training Organisations, Group Training Organisations, Schools, Workforce Australia agencies and other relevant stakeholders to promote the program
- Promote the benefits of employing female Australian Apprentices to key stakeholders and develop new business opportunities
- Conduct Business Development and Networking activities
- Implement business marketing and promotional strategies to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and agreed business targets
- Co-ordinate and facilitate the administration and sign-up of female Australian Apprentices on behalf of the employer
- Provide initial and ongoing intensive mentoring support and pastoral care to female apprentices including:
- Frequent contact (weekly for the first 26 weeks) of the Australian Apprenticeship
- Contacts to be carried out as a combination of in-person, virtual, by phone or SMS
- Support positive outcomes where differences arise between Employers and Apprentices
- Be adaptable to working hours to accommodate apprentice needs
- Maintain an accurate record of visits and contacts for data collection purposes

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills: ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, gain their confidence, and understand mutual needs and objectives
- Adaptable, empathetic, analytical, and a problem solver
- Excellent administrative skills: organised and thorough
- Good time management skills
Value-Added Experience
- Background in social sciences, behavioral sciences, youth work, or related fields
- Proven leadership and communication skills with diverse groups, especially young people
- Experience in planning and managing mentoring programs
- Success in business development and account management to meet KPIs
- Ability to analyse market trends and sustain performance
