Medici is a small family business looking to grow and expand. Looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice who will help us on our journey.
We specialise in custom stone works from kitchen tops, wall cladding and special one of a kind furniture pieces.
We’re searching for someone thats eager to take on specialty projects and figure out the best possible solution for the job.
What we are looking for

- Passion for construction with appreciation for design
- Artistic with and eye for detail.
- Reliable, honest and hard working
- Ability to work both independently, and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Computer Literacy
- Current Western Australian drivers license
Expectations of new apprentice Role.
- Initially the apprentice will assist the tradespersons, do general duties such as workshop maintenance while learning various aspects of the trade.
- Set up, maintain and operate machines to cut and shape stone to the highest quality.
- Refer to detailed drawings and computer-aided design (CAD) systems to obtain the specifications for jobs, calculate dimensions, measure and mark the stone.
- Use drilling, angle grinder, polisher, plating and edge polishing machines, CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machines,waterjet and other hand tools.
Requirements
- Permanent resident or Australian Citizenship and live in Perth Metropolitan area
- Enjoy precise and accurate work with attention to detail and using strong maths skills. Physical, manual work.
- Previous work experience or work related tasks would be advantageous.
- Commitment to complete a four-year stonemason Tradesperson Apprenticeship
- Ability to pass a full medical, drug and alcohol screen
- Strong appreciation and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety and the wearing of PPE
- Class 1 Drivers Licence and own transport
