As our name suggests, our business is headquartered in Bowen, North Queensland, where we draw on the highly skilled rail and resources sector expertise that resides in our region.
We are growing and we have two new Apprenticeships on offer commencing in January 2025 to join our Operations team.

About the role:
Our Apprentice Maintainers work closely with key stakeholders to assist in the safe, efficient, and reliable preventative maintenance, presentation, and repair of Bowen Rail Company Rollingstock and associated components and equipment in line with safety management systems, ensuring productivity, performance, safety compliance and culture of the Maintenance function is aligned to the BRC Values.

Qualifications on offer:
Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician)
Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade)

We are looking for candidates who:
- Are willing to learn and embrace new skills.

- Plan for, and work shift work, and manage fatigue.
Candidates will also be required to demonstrate that they:
- Hold a current Class C Drivers Licence
- Are an Australian Citizen or permanent resident.
- Are willing to participate in and undergo relevant pre-employment requirements if invited to do so.
These requirements may include:
- Phone Interview
- Panel Interview
- Site Visit
- Psychometric Testing
- Functional/Health Assessment including Cat 2 Rail Medical, Drug and Alcohol testing, and
- Reference checks.
