The Role

We are currently recruiting Australian Public Service Armament Technicians at RAAF Base Amberley QLD in Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) within the Department of Defence. Located at RAAF base Amberley QLD, these roles will be working in our Guided Weapons maintenance facilities on some of the most exciting and complex guided weapons and explosive ordnance products used by the Australian Defence Force. 

You will spend your days:

  • Undertaking exciting electronic/mechanical technical maintenance to maintain and certify for Guided Weapons and associated support equipment. This end-to-end process includes scheduled maintenance, breakdown repair, assembly/disassembly, alignment, calibration, test, inspection and technical certification.
  • Interpreting authorised technical data and utilising bespoke technical support documentation to perform maintenance of guided weapons and explosive ordnance in licensed explosive ordnance facilities.
  • Following technical procedures and applicable regulations in a highly regulated environment.

About our Team
The Explosive Ordnance Maintenance Directorate (EOMD) is an element of Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) within the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Delivery Division of GWEO Group. GWEO Group has personnel and facilities in Canberra, Sydney, Amberley, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide and our focus is to acquire and sustain guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force.
