As an APS 3 store person at HMAS Cairns, you will be an integral part of a small but extremely important team assisting Fleet Units with all Explosive Ordnance (EO) requirements.

About our Team
This is a dynamic and busy team who act as subject matter experts, (SME) advising Command on all aspects of Explosive Ordnance. 

One of the essential requirements to working in these conditions is ensuring commitment to maintaining a safe work environment is at the forefront of all activities.

Our Ideal Candidate
You will perform straightforward inventory management work within an integrated workforce. You are required to have basic understanding of and compliance with relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.

• You will perform work against established priorities and procedures.

• Complete of allocated tasks within required timeframes and procedures

• You will also undertake a range of procedural, clerical and administrative support tasks to support their work unit.

• You will contribute to team discussions to achieve outcomes and will seek assistance when required.

The position involves regular contact with Naval personnel as well as contractors and supporting commercial companies. You will work with an enthusiastic workforce to support Navy’s ships and contribute to the nation’s security and humanitarian response efforts.
