The Role
Joint Health Unit, South Queensland (JHU-SQ) is looking for a highly motivated, outcomes-focused Logistics Officer to join their dynamic team.

Within the Amberley Health Centre, the APS 3Logistics Officer is an important member and is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve straightforward logistics inventory management work within an integrated workforce.
They are accountable to understand and comply with relevant legislative frameworks, policy, government decision-making and Defence’s mission.
The APS 3Logistics Officer will establish and implement priorities and procedures, while exercising some autonomy about how their work is performed.
They may prioritise and manage their workflow and produce work that is subject to routine monitoring. They may undertake specialist, procedural, administrative support or operational tasks including some basic research and analysis activities to support JHU-SQ.
The APS 3Logistics Officer may be required to provide some limited supervision to a multi-faceted team as well as providing on-the-job training to team members. The APS 3Logistics Officer may be required to liaise and apply standard procedures to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements to achieve JHU-SQ and Defence goals. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
About our Team
Joint Health Unit, South Queensland (JHU-SQ) provides an exciting work environment, with opportunity to provide innovation to enable delivery of military medicine and joint health care services to the Australian Defence Force (ADF). JHU-SQ currently provides Garrison Health services from sites across South Queensland. The health centre supports a combined dependency of ADF units permanently based within South Queensland.
The team at JHU-SQ are a multidisciplinary team comprised of Australian Public Service staff, contracted administrative and health professionals and members of the ADF. The health administrative staff perform essential support in the management of accurate and timely health information to support optimal health care of ADF members.

Our Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced and motivated individual, who demonstrates experience in logistics management activities and shows capacity to quickly master efficient and effective use of Defence Systems. You will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high quality care to patients.
You will have experience in providing support to a wider team, developing productive working relationships by sharing learning; possess strong skills in logistics procedures, inventory management and the ability to learn new policies and procedures. You will possess excellent communication, planning and organisation skills, with the ability to listen, prioritise and implement effective administrative solutions.
