The Navy Minors Capital Program (NMCP) is seeking a professional and motivated APS 6Business Support Officer (BSO) to join the Program Management Office (PMO) team based at Russell Offices, ACT. In this role you will:
- Liaise, establish and maintain a professional, effective and positive working relationship within NCD, Defence Finance Group (DFG), and other key stakeholders.
- Maintain a program-level Financial Forecast to record actual/forecasted expenditure, financial risk and financial forward work planning (based on commitments).
- Work directly with NMCP Project Managers and the Program Scheduler to collect and update financial data in their respective Project Financial Forecast Spreadsheet (FFS) and reconcile changes in a project’s mandatory milestones that impact the FFS.

- Navy Cross Program Steering Committee.
- Review schedules, costs and financial data as part of the quality assurance process
- Prepare end of financial year manual accrual processes and documentation for review by the Assistant Program Manager.
- Apply Enterprise record keeping processes to all financial related documents and correspondence within Defence’s mandated record keeping program, Objective.
- Undertake ad hoc reporting, financial forecasting, invoice processing, organising travel and business process tasks as requested by the NMCP Management team.
The NMCP is a small team of Commonwealth employees and contracted project support staff who work to deliver new minor capabilities, and enhancements to existing capabilities, for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).The NMCP works closely with stakeholders across the Fleet and in Navy Capability Division (NCD) to provide contemporary solutions to meet the Navy’s needs.The BSO works alongside the NMCP Staff Officer to support the governance, business requirements and facilitation of core program functions under the direction of the Deputy Director.These consist of information management, program administration, management of inductions, and contractor administration.Our Ideal Candidate
