The Role
The Visits Coordinator will be required to work in a complex operating environment as part of Naval Construction Branch (NCB), which is headquartered in Adelaide. This position supports the implementation and delivery of continuous shipbuilding and will be an integral part of the Operations team within NCB.Assist with and where required lead planning, coordination, facilitation and execution of visits of all levels.
  • Assist with and where required produce briefs and event plans.
  • Assist with and where required lead onsite industry engagement to organise access and appropriate security and escorts.
  • Support liaison with business units for varying levels of involvement in visits.
  • Support liaison with civilian agencies and organisations that may wish to conduct site visits.
  • Conduct onsite visits where appropriate.
  • Support liaison with foreign military and agencies for visits from overseas VIPs and dignitaries.
  • Provide input to reports detailing upcoming events and visits.
  • Assist with preparation of post activity reports.
About our Team
The Naval Construction Branch (NCB) is accountable for the assurance of ship construction, set-to work and transit of vessels constructed at the Osborne Naval Shipyard and Henderson precinct. We are headquartered in Osborne, SA and have a detachment in Henderson, WA and a smaller presence in Port Macquarie, NSW. NCB is furthering continuous naval shipbuilding and growing sovereign capability by overseeing the construction to ensure quality and standards are met, storing lessons learnt and developing standard shipbuilding procedures for construction.NCB will oversee the construction of many different Navy vessels including Offshore Patrol Vessels, Hunter Class Frigates, Young Endeavour, Mine Hunter Vessels, Evolved Cape Class and Pacific Patrol Boats. Working at NCB will enable you to be at the grassroots of continuous naval shipbuilding, where you are part of a working shipyard, being able to see and contribute to the vessels delivered and used in Service by Navy.NCB currently has highly skilled and diverse shipbuilding experience, which will be shared to grow your hands-on construction knowledge. You will work alongside Navy personnel, internal project management officers and Prime contractors.Our Ideal Candidate

  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Initiative and ability to undertake multiple tasks with competing priorities.
  • Good organisational and time management skills, as well as attention to detail during a high volume of simultaneous activities across several locations.
