Showcase your content creation and stakeholder liaison skills in this intranet refresh project within a supportive and collaborative branch of a highly regarded government owned corporation.Initial 3 month labour hire contract with potential for extension. In addition to Canberra, my client will consider candidates in other state or territory capital cities. Flexible working conditions, including flexibility to work from home part of the week.Key Responsibilities:Lead the refresh of intranet pages with key members of the Branch, in particular:
- Complete the rebuilt of the intranet using the new, approved, Information Architecture (IA) (to three levels)
- Assist teams with deleting old pages, updating content, and creating new pages and content in line with the audit spreadsheet provided
- Maintain existing relationships with business areas and staff identified as intranet anchors
- Build relationships with other business areas and identify staff to update their pages
- Ensure business areas consider the needs of geographically dispersed staff and field-based staff when refreshing content, links and navigation
- Guide staff on the use of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) including writing for the web and meeting accessible reading levels
- Create SOPs and governance documents to guide staff in creating content and managing intranet pages
- Liaise with remote staff on intranet content as necessary
- Work independently to identify front-of-site information that is out of date, unclear, incorrect and/or broken links
- Identify project blocks and identify potential solutions
- Provide regular progress updates to business areas and the Internal Communications Manager
- Assist the Internal Communications Manager with additional communications tasks as required
- Prior experience managing an intranet or internet refresh project
- Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences including off-site and remote staff, and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) staff
- Strong content creation skills
- The ability to build productive relationships across a geographically diverse workforce
- Australian citizenship
