The Insurance Commission is a State owned Government Trading Enterprise that provides motor injury insurance to almost two million Western Australian motorists and manages the self-insurance arrangements of the Western Australian Government.

Generating $1.5 billion in annual revenue and earnings and with total assets of approximately $7 billion, the Insurance Commission is a substantial self-funded statutory authority.

The Role

The Motor Injury Insurance (MII) Division manages all personal and fatal injury claims resulting from motor vehicle crashes that involve Western Australian licensed vehicles. The MII Division is seeking to establish a pool of proactive and enthusiastic Claims Officers and Claims Support Officers for vacancies arising over the next 12 months.

Claims Officer's, Level 3/5. This customer focused role manages a portfolio of common law motor vehicle personal injury claims and negotiates equitable settlement outcomes in accordance with legislation, standards and procedures.

Claims Support Officer's, Level 2. This customer focused role receives and enters crash reports and data, provides advice to people involved in motor vehicle crashes and gathers the necessary investigative information to enable a determination of claim liability.

Claims Support Officers and Claims Officers work closely together in a supportive and committed team. These positions provide an opportunity to develop a career within the Insurance Commission.
