The Opportunity
Experienced Work Health and Safety candidates are in high demand right now.We have a wide range contracts, permanent positions, non-ongoing roles, and section 26 transfers from our government, consulting, and private sector clients available.
The Role
As a WHS Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation complies with relevant WHS laws, regulations, and policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Contribute to continuous improvement of WHS management system, promoting health and wellbeing initiatives
- Provide legislative advice to stakeholders and manage issue resolution
- Assist workers and managers with specialist WHS support
- Coordinate health initiatives such as influenza vaccinations and wellbeing weeks
- Aid data analysis, reporting on WHS and wellbeing; assist with internal audit reviews of WHSMS
The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in work health and safety, coupled with exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels. They will have:
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of record management and safety risk management practices
- Ability to apply judgment and decision-making in a fast-paced environment
- Prioritisation skills, adaptability, and adherence to APS values and Code of Conduct
- $75k - $100k + Super
