Please note that the role involves a combination of office-based work, and periods spent in outdoor locations.
As an APS5 you will:
- Contribute positively to business planning of the section, assisting with the management of resources, risks, sharing workload and skill sharing.
- Effectively support relationships and liaise with a range of key stakeholders including Australian government and international agencies, contractors and the veteran community.
- Assist in the preparation of high quality and accurate written documentation, including briefing papers and ministerial correspondence, budget management, and presentations along with commemorative service related documents.
- Prioritise and manage multiple and parallel tasks, remaining flexible, agile and willing to adapt to operational needs, as required.
- Display high level attention to detail and analyse information to make sound judgements; and
- Answer general enquiries from the public by both email and telephone, as required.
What you'll need to succeed
Preferred skills/experience:
- Has experience in a project support role
- Is highly organised and can operate with a level of autonomy
- Has strong verbal and written communication skills
- Feels comfortable working in a face paced environment
You will need to be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to pass a police check to be eligible for this position.
