APS5 Guidance Officer
Pay Rate: $55.24 per hour + super
Type: Ongoing contract
Hours: Full-time, Mon – Fri, 8:30am - 5pm

You will be working with a community-based government organisation that provides essential services to the community, focusing on supporting those in need and making a difference for each of their participants. We are looking for motivated individuals who are driven to provide excellent service and positive solutions for program participants. This role is based in Newcastle and offers flexible working arrangements post training.
Your new role
As a Guidance Officer, you will be working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to research moderately complex enquiries and provide guidance in accordance with company policies and procedures. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex enquiries.
- Interpreting and understanding relevant policy and legislation, and the ability to communicate key information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing or updating guidance material in response to stakeholder feedback.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of the organisation.
- Managing multiple priorities whilst maintaining high work standards.
- Ensuring compliance with governance protocols.
- Any ahdoc duties as required by management.
What you'll need to succeed
- Understanding of SAP, CRM and PACE systems.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
- High level attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in a similar role is essential.
- Legal or similar background is highly desirable, but not essential.
- This role requires candidates to be an Australian Citizen.
- Successful candidate will need to complete 2x reference checks, a Working with Children Check and a Police Check.
