The Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Financial Operations Directorate is looking for a Senior Purchase Card Officer, to manage and provide technical advice on the Department’s Travel and Purchase Cards.
The Financial Operations Directorate is responsible for ensuring a high-quality financial environment for the department through robust governance and processes and by providing accurate and timely guidance on financial operational matters. The Directorate delivers accounts payable and receivable, treasury management, financial systems administration, travel and Purchase Card management.
Duties

• Provide high customer service and respond to inquiries on Travel and Purchase Card matters and provide factual advice in a timely manner.
• Provide technical knowledge in Travel and Purchase Card management.
• Assist with general inquiries on Travel, Expense8 and Health LifeStyle benefit.
• Manage prioritisation of own workloads, checking accuracy of information and work, ensuring quality customer service and advice.
• Utilise financial analysis tools, systems, to capture, research, analyse and reconcile data.
• Contribute to the implementation and improvement of processes and contribute to workplace innovation
• Preparation and approval of end of month processes including but not limited to:

• reconciliations,
• journals, and
• executive and management reporting.
