Our ideal applicants will have proven experience in Travel and Purchase Card management, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, an excellent understanding of Whole of Australian Government Travel Policies and experience using and maintaining financial systems (e.g. TM1, Expense8 or similar Travel and Expense Management Systems). You will be responsive in high pressure and changing environments and have the ability to work independently and apply strategic thinking for decision making. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be innovative, have a continuous improvement mindset and be able to implement changes.
Duties
- Lead, supervise and develop a small team.
- Oversee the helpdesk support to Travel and Purchase Cards users.
- Provide expertise and technical knowledge in Travel and Purchase Card management.
- Undertake research interpret and apply legislative requirements including Commonwealth financial compliance and legislative frameworks to resolve moderately complex issues.
- Build rapport and maintain internal and external relationships, respond to enquiries, provide assistance and factual advice in a timely manner.
- Manage prioritisation of own workloads and those of team, checking accuracy of information and work, ensuring quality customer service and advice.
- Manage priority and needs of customers to meet and exceed expectations, identify and resolve issues.
- Utilise financial analysis tools, systems, to capture, research, analyse and reconcile data.
- Preparation and approval of end of month processes including but not limited to:
- reconciliations,
- journals, and
- executive and management reporting
