OVERVIEW
Our Federal Government client is currently seeking an experienced Travel Officer to join their team at the APS5 level. Within this role you will provide travel policy advice and assist with ad hoc projects as required.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide travel policy advice and technical expertise based on Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) and department policies and legislation on domestic travel, international travel, and travel acquittals.
- Provide high level advice from the Travel Policy and the Travel Regulation manual to travellers.
- Preparation of travel data for monthly reports and other ad hoc reports as requested.
- Actively review and update the travel intranet pages and prepare business bulletins to advise of any changes to the department.
- Respond to travel queries via the shared inbox and helpdesk phone.
- Assist Team leader and Assistant director in the preparation of quarterly Briefs and Questions on Notice.
- General administration on internal and external systems such as Concur, CTM, TechOne and Travel
- Have a good understanding of the Whole of Government Travel Service Arrangements.
- Experience in using expense management and finance management system such as Concur and TechOne.
- Experience in travel management system such as CTM, Visalink and Travel Pack.
- Experience in MS Word, Excel and data analysis.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently or under limited guidance and respond effectively to change.
- Ability to manage work priorities and meet deadlines.
