Elliott Gray has an exciting opportunity for an APS5 Work Health and Safety Officer to join the team who make STEM fun!

APS5 Work Health and Safety Officer
In this role, you will be providing administrative support of work, health and safety to the team and broader agency. Some core responsibilities include:

• Reviewing standard operating procedures for the centre and outbound engagements
• Managing chemical storage to ensure hazardous items are being stored safely
• Assisting and handling WHS processes for the broader agency
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures and relevant Commonwealth legislation.

Our ideal candidate:
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated the experience and skills in providing administrative support around WHS policies and procedures. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills as well as written and oral skills, working with minimal supervision.
Eligibility:
This position requires a Baseline security clearance and the successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
Successful candidates must also be able to:

• Undergo a National Police check and maintain compliance
• Obtain or hold a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People Act
