Form of workWe are recruiting two APS5 and two APS6 roles for our client, where you will be working in the Financial Reporting team providing technical accounting support in the preparation of their EOM and EOFY departmental or administered financial statements.
You’ll be supporting experienced EL1s that have strong internal experience and can provide strong technical and professional support.
The roles will be offered as permanent S26 transfers for an immediate start at the APS5 and APS6 levels, or as 12 months non-ongoing contracts for anyone currently not with the APS.
They are looking for technical accountants for the administered/departmental reporting teams. Duties will include: monthly/annual actuals loading into CBMS; support in the development of the financial statements; preparation of EOM/EOFY.
They can match salaries but also have a competitive enterprise agreement.
Your Skills and Experience:
You will be an experienced accountant with Financial Reporting experience from a government environment. These are technical accounting roles, you must be able to demonstrate your technical accounting capability and an understanding of the PGPA Act.
You must be an Australian Citizen and be able to start ASAP. This permanent role is only available via an S26 transfer at the APS6 level, however, they will also consider APS5/6 level candidates for 12 months non-ongoing contracts.
Ideally you will be working towards, or potentially fully CA/CPA qualified.
