Contract until 30 June 2025 | Canberra Location | APS6: $61.08 - $68.68 per hour plus 11% super | EL1: $76.06 - $85.08 per hour plus 11% super | NV1 Security Clearance is Required

OVERVIEW

Our Federal Government client is currently seeking experienced Procurement and Contract Specialists to join their team at the APS6 – EL1 level. Within this role you will be monitoring and managing procurement activities as well as being responsible for managing a range of contracts.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the preparation of procurement approval documentation.
• Strong knowledge in administering tender documentation.
• Present a high level of customer service to internal clients and stakeholders, providing a proactive approach where Agency representatives are engaged, and feedback is sought.
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with external stakeholders and suppliers including effectively managing contract enquiries, issues, disputes, variations, risks and undertaking negotiations with suppliers as required.
• Monitoring contracts and managing extension or renewal of contracts and Contract close-out.
• Preparation and ongoing management of Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs).
• Provide policy advice in relation to compliance with relevant Australian Government legislation, rules and policies relating to contract management and procurement activities.
• Risk assessment and issue management.
• Corporate Document Management and filing.

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

• Four years' experience working within Government Procurement.
• Thorough understanding of the PGPA Act for complex procurements.
• Complex contract management experience, with knowledge of CCS.
• Experience providing oversight of public sector procurement activities.
