About the role:
This role is responsible for managing a range of contracts and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers.
The EL1 Procurement and Contract Management Specialist will assist in the preparation of procurement approval documentation including Approvals to Approach the Market, Evaluation Outcomes, Approvals to commit funds and enter into Arrangements.
Duties:
- Establish and maintain strong business relationships with external stakeholders and suppliers, including effectively managing contract enquiries
- Preparation and ongoing management of Government contracts, ranging from simple to complex
- Provide policy advice in relation to compliance with relevant Australian Government legislation, rules and policies relating to contract management and procurement activities
- Develop, draft and implement communications strategies to support structural, technical and business changes in relation to contract management
- Risk assessment and issue management
Required experience/skills:
- Four years' experience working within Government Procurement
- Thorough understanding of the PGPA Act for complex procurements
- Complex contract management experience, with knowledge of CCS
- Experience providing oversight of public sector procurement activities
