About the role
These are for contract positions with federal government clients, supported by SKNG.
Australian citizenship is essential. Security Clearance is beneficial.
We specialise in helping contractors build positive relationships and also help people win their first contract and mentor them through as they adjust to contractor life.
As part of our leadership guild, you will be a leader and exceptional manager of delivery. As a Delivery Manager, you will have demonstrable experience in coordinating, managing and building a team to deliver on organisation outcomes.
We typically only engage with clients with long term roles, however, you may be able to apply for shorter timeframe projects.
These roles are typically in Canberra (although remote is certainly now possible). AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP is mandatory.
Main responsibilities
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Specialist. As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect organisation's computer networks and systems. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure the security of organisation's assets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect Department's organisation's computer networks and systems
- Monitor network activity to identify and prevent cyber attacks
- Conduct security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures
- Investigate security incidents and provide recommendations for remediation
- Stay up-to-date with the latest threats and vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security measures
- Train employees on security awareness and best practices
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure security compliance
- Provide technical expertise and support to other IT teams as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field
- At least 1 years of experience in Cyber Security
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs
- Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices, such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+, are a plus
