This role is a 12 month contract based opportunity with a high chance of renewal. A flexible, hybrid work environment ensures a great work-life balance - this is a Geelong based position and requires some time spent in office. This is a full time position open to Australian Citizens only.
About the Role
The APS6 Guidance Lead will work as part of the Guidance and Practice team and will be responsible for interpreting legalisation and policy and create guidance and procedural documents for use internally and externally for the Agency.
The Service Guidance and Practice Branch is responsible for presenting Agency policy, improvements and system enhancements in clear operational guidelines to support the Agency's front line (National Delivery). This guidance enables front line staff to make consistent decisions and participants to have choice and control over their lives.
The branch also develops content for participants and external stakeholders to support Our Guidelines, including letters, forms, factsheets and guides to what the Agency does and does not fund.
Responsibilities
- Leading the development and updating of internal and external guidance with a participant focus that reflects the Agency’s policy positions and meets our plain English and accessibility standards.
- Listening and responding to feedback from participants and disability peak bodies to ensure the participant is at the centre of all Agency’s guidance
- Understanding of the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes
- Analysing supporting data and systems to develop internal and external guidance that reflects the Agency’s policy positions and best practice
- Initiating, establishing, and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Australian Citizenship (required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An ability to undertake analysis and gather evidence based on information, analysing and investigating options and outcomes
