This agency is known for having a great culture across different teams and have excellent office locations in Geelong and Melbourne.About the Team:The Service Guidance and Practice Branch is responsible for presenting Agency policy, improvements and system enhancements in clear operational guidelines to support the Agency's front line (National Delivery). This guidance enables front line staff to make consistent decisions and participants to have choice and control over their lives.
The branch also develops content for participants and external stakeholders to support the Agency Guidelines, including letters, forms, factsheets and guides to what the Agency does and does not fund.About the role:The APS6 Guidance Lead is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the Agency's objectives.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Leading the development and updating of internal and external guidance with a participant focus that reflects the Agency's policy positions and meets our plain English and accessibility standards.
- Listening and responding to feedback from participants and disability peak bodies to ensure the participant is at the centre of all Agency's guidance.
- Understanding of the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements.
- Analysing supporting data and systems to develop internal and external guidance that reflects the Agency's policy positions and best practice.
- Initiating, establishing, and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Representing the branch as a guidance subject matter expert in multi-disciplinary teams and providing guidance expertise and advice for the delivery of requests from the Agency's executive, Board, Minister and other Australian Government Departments in a timely manner.
- Supporting continuous improvement for all branch deliverables, including maintaining best practice and identifying and implementing innovations.
- Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards, governance protocols and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested.
- Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and represent the work area in relation to guidance development.
- Ability to interpret and draft policy and procedural information into clear and easy to understand guidance material.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested.
- Ability to work under limited direction, guided by policies, accepted standards and precedents.
- Understanding of the NDIS and the NDIS Act 2013.
- Experience working in Confluence platform and JIRA project management tool.
- Understanding of SAP CRM and PACE.
- Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work within and across teams, the ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to prioritise and allocate tasks in an efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
