The Strategy, Architecture Projects and Engagement Unit sits within the Information Services Branch in the Corporate Division. The ICT Business Engagement Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders and ensuring that IT solutions meet their needs. This position is responsible for understanding the business requirements and translating them into IT solutions that meet the strategic objectives of the organisation as well as ensuring that business areas are engaged and contributing to the successful solution delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, subject matter experts and vendors to ensure outcomes are achieved.
- Manage the planning and delivery of solutions in collaboration with the responsible business area to ensure service expectations are designed to meet needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for IT solutions to improve business outcomes.
- Monitor and report on the success of IT solutions and gather feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve processes and services.
- Act as liaison between the Information Services Branch and internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that communication is clear and effective.
- Assist with development and implementation of efficient and comprehensive functional processes to provide high level business governance services that support the delivery objectives.
- Implement and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across the business, coordinate contract performance and management reviews, work with key stakeholders on improvement strategies delivering cost effective solutions.
- Chair and Secretariat various IT Authority Boards - Technical Design Authority, Architecture Design Authority and Change Advisory Board.
- Assist with development and implementation of a Business Engagement strategy for the Treasury Department.
- Excellent negotiation and issues management skills.
- Experience in Project Management and ITIL functions.
- Knowledge of government policies and procedures.
