The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. Seeking a challenging and rewarding career opportunity in the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) sector?
NDIA’s Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Services branch is seeking a highly skilled and motivated APS6 ICT Service Desk Team Leader to join our team in Midland WA.
The ICT Services branch within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) provides essential technology services and support to the NDIA staff and partners. The branch manages relationships with Services Australia and other external ICT service providers within the agreed service levels.

In this exciting role you will lead a team, drawing on your expert knowledge across ICT to provide guidance, mentoring and support to achieve service excellence. To be successful in the role, you will continuously lead your team, monitor and improve processes and procedures, analyse performance metrics identifying areas for improvement, implement strategies and preventive measures and foster positive team culture with encouraging open communication and collaboration.
You will be a highly collaborative and influential communicator, who can build trust and meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
  • Working with the Service Desk Manager and other Service Desk Leadership to deliver customer service excellence.
  • Coaching and mentoring staff to enable developmental and technical/process outcomes.
  • Delivering ICT support and education via a range of methods including telephone and email.

While this role is ideally performed from Midland - WA, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with extension may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
