Identified Positions are not restricted only to First Nations Australians applicants.A new role awaitsWe have an exciting opportunity for an APS6 Operations Team Leader to join our Northern Territory Operations team and play a crucial role in ensuring smooth business support functions and operating procedures.The Operations Team Leader manages a small team to support Service Delivery in the NT to provide a timely, quality service to both, remote and urban regions. This team supports the Remote Services Branch and NT based National Delivery teams and is responsible for all operational aspects including supporting the Territory Manager to delivery consistent and culturally appropriate services in remote localities.Does this sound like you?Where you can add valueAs the Operations Team Leader you will have the opportunity to coordinate recruitment activities, foster strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes.Additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Managing a team that organise and maintain mailboxes and actioning various operations and administrative enquiries from staff members, recruitment agencies, internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing business support functions and operating procedures, onboarding new starters and offboarding staff leaving the Agency.
- Working on operations/HR projects and tasks, liaising with relevant stakeholders as needed.
- Assisting in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.
- Managing financial activities within the division invoice payments.
- Experience managing staff, leading staff from diverse backgrounds with varied skill set.
- Supporting staff with challenges and disabilities.
- You will be resourceful – being able to think outside the box and be innovative.
- Always be open minded – approach all interactions with participants, communities, stakeholders and colleagues with kindness and respect.
- Have strong values aligned to APS – integrity, commitment to service, accountability, respectful and ethical.
- You will have strong computer skills, knowledge of emergency management processes, understanding of Government processes and procedures.
