For over 40 years Chandler Macleod's recruitment business has connected leading-edge projects and employers with outstanding business professionals.Our client is seeking to engage an APS6 Procurement Systems Officer.Location: Canberra, ACTContract Length: 12 monthsPay rate: $60.26/Hourly (excluding super)Eligibility/Security Requirement: Applicants must be Australian Citizens.About the TeamThe Procurement Branch is responsible for partnering with business areas to source goods and services for the Agency through a centralized procurement model. We focus on applying the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and Agency's Procurement Policy to ensure value for money outcomes. Procurement Business Partners work with business areas to engage labour hire resources, source good and services and undertake grant rounds in accordance with the Agency's Procurement Policy and relevant legislation.About the RoleThe APS6 Procurement Systems Officer (Labour Hire) is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the Agency's objectives.Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Working with the Jira Service Desk, providing administrative support, including managing user accounts, customizing workflows, monitoring system performance, resolving and escalating issues.
• Supporting end users of Procurement Jira Service Desk and developing training and guidance material.
• Documenting Jira configuration and issues resolution processes.
• Generating reports for the Procurement Branch utilizing Jira Service Desk data.
• Collaborating with ICT and Procurement Branch stakeholders, achieving work area objectives.

Key skills required for role:

• Jira Service Desk administration, management, and reporting experience.

Desirable skills to have for the role:

• Procurement experience, preferably in a Government Agency or Department
• Ability to understand and apply company policy and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
