The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced APS5 looking to advance or a current APS6 to join our client as an APS6 Senior Case Manager on a non-ongoing basis.
As the Senior Case Manager, you will play a crucial role in improving management and outcomes within the injury management environment. You will also handle underperformance issues, complaints, and requests for reviews of administrative decisions. While the majority of the team is based in Canberra, applications from Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne will be considered. This role offers flexible working arrangements, mentorship from an EL1 Rehabilitation Case Manager, and potential career progression.
The Role
As the APS6 Senior Case Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and legislation
- Providing advice on injury management, early intervention, and return to work programs
- Addressing employee performance, behaviour, and conflict resolution issues
- Collaborating with stakeholders for best practice case management
- Supporting and advising people managers on workplace matters
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of relevant people and case management policies, practices, and legislation. They will work independently with limited direction, applying effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
They should have a positive and flexible approach to change, well-developed written and oral communication skills, and the ability to negotiate with and influence key stakeholders. Additionally, they must demonstrate professionalism, impartiality, and integrity in managing sensitive information.
Salary / Rate
$95k - $105k + 15.4% Super
