This Small Federal Government Agency is responsible for administering schemes legislated by the Australian Government for measuring, managing, reducing, or offsetting Australia's carbon emissions.
About the Role
Working within the Assurance and Information Strategy Branch you will be responsible for:
- Oversight of the agency's annual audit program and auditor inspection program.
- Managing the Register of Greenhouse and Energy Auditors including overseeing accuracy of the register and timely processing of applications and regulatory decisions.
- Managing contracts to ensure that services are delivered on time to the appropriate level of quality.
- Financial management-ensuring budgets are tracked, and financial procurement rules are adhered to.
- Supervising team members within the section to deliver administrative tasks on time to appropriate levels of quality ensuring feedback, coaching and development is encouraged to build team capability.
- Supporting the day-to-day education of registered greenhouse and energy auditors including providing technical guidance to auditors on legislation and standards and contribute to new policy development to support the management of registered greenhouse and energy auditors.
- Analysing audit and inspection data and translate it into reports and oversee data quality in SharePoint, Excel, and CRM systems
Experience or qualifications in any of the following is highly desired:
- Previous experience in the conduct of audit and assurance engagements,
- conduct of greenhouse and energy audits or emissions and energy measurement and reporting,
- qualifications in financial management, procurement or contract management would be viewed favourably.
- A current Baseline clearance
