Senior Business Analyst - Commercial Regulatory

About the role:Fantastic permanent opportunity within the commercial insurance space for a Senior Business Analyst who has a good background in regulatory change and the insurance policy lifecycle.You will have at least 4 years' BA experience including working within the commercial/consumer insurance industry, have good technical capability and can understand the technical impacts as the business problem is being presented.You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 200 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing.What you'll do

• Build strong relationships through engagement with customers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders
• Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesize information accurately, completely, and coherently.
• Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
• Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
• Create detailed user stories to support delivery.
• Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to identify, capture, plan and deliver the scope of work.
• Working in an Agile continuous delivery environment and be responsible for analysing and documenting requirements, facilitate workshops and design solution sessions

What you'll bring

• Minimum 4+ years' Business Analysis experience
• MUST have experience working in the Commercial/Consumer Insurance industry
• Proven experience in regulatory and or reinsurance project delivery
• Strong understanding of the insurance policy lifecycle
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to capably link between squad and tribe members to solve complex business problems
• Good technical capability, can understand the technical impacts as the business problem is being presented
• Experience with standard Agile tools i.e. Jira & confluence
