Murray-Darling Basin AuthorityThe Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) is an independent government agency, that aims to achieve a healthy working Basin for the benefit of all Australians. The Murray-Darling Basin contains a rich diversity of natural environments that are unique to Australia and the world. The Basin is also crucial to Australia’s economy and home to 2.3 million Australians, including people from over 50 First Nations.
The OpportunityJoining the MDBA will see you support three major projects in relation to the water reform program.
- Your role will contribute to a significant water reform program that aims to respond to the impacts of climate change, support community and industry needs, and improve access to water for First Nations people
- Take part in the launch of a micro website for the MDBA, driving the publication of science and data
- Improve the user experience, while conducting market research
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in providing oversight of the MDBA’s internet sites, and in the analysis, review, writing and publishing of web content including developing micro content for example: landing pages, home page, taxonomies and publications pages
- Work collaboratively with the Web and Production team on content publishing, content design and continuous improvement of the MDBA’s Drupal 10 website to ensure it meets user needs and provides an optimal user experience
- Contribute to the planning, design, development and testing of wireframes, interface designs and user and IA testing activities including card sorting, to improve website content delivery and user experience
- Support a connected and coordinated web, design and Production service for the MDBA, including Google analytics and reporting to inform strategic decision making, and contributing to supporting the digital asset management system
- Assist in the delivery and maintenance of website management documentation including user guides and procedures and contribute to improving workflow processes
- Support key relationships with MDBA business areas and centralised technical web team
- Support the implementation and evaluation of communication strategies to align with MDBA priorities, and delivery of communication services – digital and print content, website content, design and Production
You will be an information architect, with an eye for content design, while holding expertise in the following areas:
- Experience designing and managing web content including front-end websites and content publishing in a government organisation
- You will have experience working with Drupal V8, 9 or 10 content management systems
- Developing content strategy, website information architecture and navigation, designing and managing taxonomies, content blocks and view
- User-centred design, web standards and accessibility, and extensive understanding of HTML, CSS, UX, Government Style Manual, Digital Service Standards, SEO and WCAG
- Content design, interaction design, user experience and user research
- $92,023 – $101,281 + 15.4% super
- Flexible working arrangements: 40% in office attendance
